Meet Lance Lange
Lance Lange didn’t plan on becoming a landscaper — but sometimes the best careers are the ones that find you. After graduating from Indiana University in 2021, he started working at a local landscaping company to make some short-term money. What began as a temporary job quickly turned into a passion for design, customer service, and transforming outdoor spaces.
While working closely with clients, Lance discovered how fulfilling it was to bring someone’s vision to life — whether it was creating a backyard retreat they’d always dreamed of or helping an elderly homeowner restore pride in their property. That sense of purpose inspired him to launch Lange Landscape Co., where he could take his creativity, craftsmanship, and customer-first approach to the next level.
Lance’s landscaping philosophy blends practicality and beauty. Every design he creates is meant to fit a client’s lifestyle — easy to maintain, functional to use, and naturally stunning. He loves projects that make a lasting impact, especially hardscape designs that completely change how a property is used and enjoyed.
When he’s not designing outdoor spaces, Lance can usually be found officiating youth basketball, catching a local game or IndyCar race, or volunteering with the Knox County Shrine Club. He also draws inspiration from nature close to home — especially along the banks of the Wabash River, where the mix of rock and native plants reminds him that the best landscapes are the ones that work in harmony with their surroundings.
